Final Roll Corrections Report (Report #7) now available to most municipalities

If you submitted your final roll to us by July 10, your Final Roll Corrections Report (Report #7) is now available in the Online Assessment Community (OAC). If you submitted your final (or amended) roll to ORPTS after July 10, we will issue your report at a later date.

Report #7 includes the following:

  • disparities between the final assessment roll and Reports #1, 2, and 3
  • changes to our determination due to a taxpayer responding to our mailing
  • flags for parcels that have missing rolls or registrations

What to do next

Use this report to update the roll file before the processing of school tax bills. By law, you are authorized to make the changes indicated on the report after publishing the final roll.

Update the roll file that will be used to issue school tax bills based on the Current Status field. However, if a property is listed on the report as eligible but you’re aware that – as of taxable status date – it’s not eligible due to age, ownership, or residency:

Questions

For detailed information on how to run and interpret the report, see Final Roll Corrections Report (Report #7) Instructions.

After reviewing the instructions, if you still have questions, email assessor.report.feedback@tax.ny.gov.

Reminder: Deadline to request advisory appraisals

If you’re conducting a reassessment and you would like to request a utility advisory appraisal, the deadline to submit Form RP-7021, Utility Advisory Appraisal Request is 270 days prior to your tentative roll date (by August 4 for localities using the standard assessment calendar). Please also notify your county customer support team as soon as possible. We cannot deliver advisory appraisals without Form RP-7021 on file for the current year, and your county team must be aware of the reassessment.

Annual Exemptions Report

Curious how exemptions in your county compare to those in other areas, or looking for statewide statistics?

Visit our annual exemption report, the most recent of which is based on 2025 assessment rolls. You can dig into data by exemption code in the Statewide Exemption Summary, which you can also break down by county in the New York State Municipal Profiles tool of our Municipal Data Portal.

Reminder: New STAR seminars coming this summer for homeowners. (You’re also welcome to attend!)

This summer we are launching a tour of STAR seminars across the state.

In each presentation, we will share with homeowners:

  • a brief history of the program,
  • what to expect from the program if they are already enrolled, and
  • steps on how to enroll if they are a new homeowner.

We will also cover our most common FAQs and have staff on site to help new homeowners register at self-service kiosks.

Each event is open to the public; preregistration is not required.
