Online Services will be down for improvements from 5 p.m. on December 4 until 10 a.m. on December 8.

During this timeframe, you will be unable to create, log in to, or complete any transactions in your Online Services account.

If you must file during this timeframe, you may file a paper form. If you must pay a bill, use our Quick Pay application, which does not require you to log in. If you received an income request letter (Form RP-5300-WSC), use our STAR Income Worksheet tool.

Report #10: NYS Tax Return Deceased Report

The NYS Tax Return Deceased Report (Report #10) is now available in the Online Assessment Community to assessors and county directors.

The report lists property owners who:

  • are receiving or registered for a STAR benefit, and
  • were reported as deceased on a recent New York State income tax return.

This report is for your information; you are not required to take action based on the report. If you choose to use the information in this report, before making any changes to your files, you may wish to cross reference it against local information on the Internet or other sources.

If you come across a property owner that is erroneously listed in the report (that is, they’re not deceased), it is almost certainly due to information mistakenly reported on an income tax return. You can notify us at assessor.report.feedback@tax.ny.gov, and we will update the report when it is next published.

Reminder: We’ve updated our RPS Online information center

We’ve redesigned our RPS Online information center. Included in the redesign are updated FAQs, based on the questions you have asked the RPS Online Project Team.

We’ll continue to update the information center with the latest in RPS Online news and content.

If you have additional questions or input about RPS Online, we’re listening! Please email RPSOnline@tax.ny.gov. We’ll continue to use your questions to update our FAQs webpage further, and your feedback is valuable as we continue to develop and enhance the system.

Note: The URLs for some of the webpages within the RPS Online information center have changed. If you had any of these webpages bookmarked or added to your favorites in your browser, we recommend you recreate your link.
