03/09/2026 Assessment Community Weekly
RPSV4 update now available
This release includes enhancements to:
- accommodate five new exemptions (RPTL §466-a, RPTL §457-a, RPTL §458-d, RPTL §471, RPTL §465),
- update two exemptions (RPTL §467, RPTL §485-r).
Prior to installing the updates, please download and review the release notes for critical information on how to administer these exemptions in RPSV4.
To download the release notes, log in to the Online Assessment Community and select RPSV4 Updates in the menu. Under Maintenance releases for RPS2020, download RPSv42020_7806.pdf from the Release notes column.
When administering these exemptions in RPSV4, keep each taxing jurisdiction’s local options in mind. If a taxing jurisdiction adopts the new senior citizens exemption (RPTL §467) sliding scale option #4 for increased exemption percentages, the senior income worksheet will no longer be compatible and file maintenance must be performed.
Because of this, a new Excel worksheet, RP467 Exemption Percentage WKST has been provided in the Online Assessment Community to assist in calculating exemption percentages for each taxing jurisdiction’s local options.
To install the update, log in to the Online Assessment Community and select RPSV4 Updates in the menu. Under Maintenance releases for RPS2020, download and run both:
- RPS2020_7806.exe and
- Db_798.exe
