STAR reports 1, 2, and 3 now available for most munis

As you have in years past, use the reports to update your files before locking down your tentative rolls. If you need a refresher, you may want to start with How to Access and Download STAR Reports.

There are separate instructions for each report:

We’ve also updated the printable summary and assessor actions list:

As was the case last year, if you need to provide changes to any of the reports to us, please follow the instructions on How to submit STAR report changes.

Update regarding manufactured homes, STAR, and RPSV4

Last week, we announced the availability of the RPSV4 manufactured home STAR utility. We also announced that there is a user guide to assist with running the utility.

Today, we published a video tutorial led by Khristina Ulmer of our Northern Region.

In addition, please bear in mind the following:

  • After installing RPS2020_3022.exe, and db_791.exe, you will need to run the utility. Simply installing the executables will not remove the STAR exemption from manufactured homes.
  • In addition to the utility, there is an optional report. Running the report only will not remove the STAR exemption from manufactured homes. The report lists parcels that appear to be manufactured homes that are separately assessed. No action is necessary for these parcels.
  • If you have notes in your exemption folder for a park, the notes and the folder will be removed when the utility removes the STAR exemptions. To preserve your notes, either copy them to the description folder prior to running the utility, or view the notes in the prior year. (Thanks to Queensbury Assessor Teri Ross for this suggestion. We’ve also added the suggestion to the user guide.)

For questions about the utility or report, contact your ORPTS customer service team.
