10/20/2025 Assessment Community Weekly

Continue using the IVP Tool through 2025

The Enhanced STAR Income Verification Program (IVP) Tool is used by ORPTS and authorized users of the assessment community for sharing information related to Enhanced STAR exemption recipients.

Please continue to enter information into the IVP tool through the end of 2025.

To aid us in making timely and accurate eligibility determinations, please:

  • Promptly enter the information into the IVP Tool as soon as it becomes available to you.
  • Update the IVP tool if you become aware that a property owner is not eligible for Enhanced STAR due to age, ownership, or residency, and place the Basic STAR exemption on your roll.
  • Keep in mind, any edits you perform in the IVP Tool will not directly impact your assessment roll — they will only be reflected in the Tax Department’s IVP enrollment database.
  • Email us with IVP enrollment details if you need to reopen an enrollment that you closed more than five days ago.

You may also transmit IVP forms to the Tax Department for data entry (see How to transmit IVP forms to the Tax Department).

Provide assessor and county RPT director appointments and reappointments to ORPTS as soon as possible

The October 1 appointment date has passed, but we’ve yet to receive appointment information from many municipalities and counties.

Thank you to everyone who has already sent in their information.

Please confirm with your county or municipality that they’ve provided the required information to ORPTS. See our original emails on our website for details.
