Online Services will be down for improvements from 5 p.m. on December 4 until 10 a.m. on December 8.

During this timeframe, you will be unable to create, log in to, or complete any transactions in your Online Services account.

If you must file during this timeframe, you may file a paper form. If you must pay a bill, use our Quick Pay application, which does not require you to log in. If you received an income request letter (Form RP-5300-WSC), use our STAR Income Worksheet tool.

Coming Soon: Tentative Roll Corrections Report (Report #4)

In the upcoming days, we expect to publish Report #4 for those municipalities that provided their tentative roll files to ORPTS on a timely basis (by May 10). We’ll let you know when it’s available. To get ready, you may want to review the instructions

STAR letters update

In addition to the letters we mentioned last week...

RP-5310-DLI: Recipients of this letter are registered for the STAR credit and had 2022 income over $500,000. They are not eligible for the STAR credit this year. We will continue to review our records to determine their eligibility in future years. Recipients of this letter do not need to do anything unless they disagree with our income determination. See the text of the letter.

RP-5310-WSP: This letter is being mailed to STAR credit recipients for whom we need additional income information to determine their eligibility. Within 30 days of the date on their letter, they should provide their income using our online income tool or the paper option described in their letter. See the text of the letter.

If you’re contacted by a homeowner about either letter, direct them to the instructions and telephone number on the letter (518-457-2036).

Training reimbursement reminder

To ensure that you're eligible for training reimbursement, before you register for additional training, make sure that you still need continuing education credits for 2024.

Have questions or need a copy of your continuing education report? Email orpts.edservices@tax.ny.gov or call 518-474-1764.
