STAR letters going out to homeowners this week

We’re mailing two letters to impacted STAR recipients this week.

RP-425-RDS: Homeowners receiving this letter had 2022 income between $250,000 and $500,000 and are no longer eligible for the STAR exemption. We were able to switch the homeowners to the STAR credit without them taking any action. Recipients of this letter do not need to do anything unless they disagree with our income determination. See the text of the letter.

RP-5310-WSP: This letter is being mailed to STAR credit recipients for whom we need additional income information to determine their eligibility. Within 30 days of the date on their letter, they should provide their income using our online income tool or the paper option described in their letter. See the text of the letter.

If you’re contacted by a homeowner about either letter, direct them to the instructions and telephone number on the letter (518-457-2036).
