Final Reminder: Tomorrow is the deadline to request advisory appraisals for most munis

If you’re conducting a reassessment, and you expect to request a utility advisory appraisal, please submit Form RP-7021, Utility Advisory Appraisal Request, as soon as possible. The deadline is 270 days prior to your tentative roll date (by August 1 for localities using the standard assessment calendar). Please include a request for each year of a reassessment cycle.

ICYMI: Final Roll Corrections Report now available

On Tuesday, we announced that the Final Roll Corrections Report (Report #7) is available in the Online Assessment Community for munis that submitted their final rolls by July 10. Each day, we continue to add reports for munis that submitted their rolls after that date. For details, see the instructions.

RPSV4 and the exemption for volunteer firefighters and ambulance workers

While RPSV4 patch 2020.4224 updated Exemption Code 4163x, there are still options under RPTL-466-a that RPSV4 cannot currently provide for. An additional enhancement to RPSV4 is currently in development and is expected to be ready for delivery this fall. The coming update will provide additional flexibility for ad valorem special districts and fire districts. It will also allow the exemption percentage to be adjusted to less than 10 percent.

If RPSV4 is not meeting your needs while processing tax rolls, or if a taxing jurisdiction or fire district in your municipality has adopted options RPSV4 cannot provide for, please contact your ORPTS customer service team.
