Online Services will be down for improvements from 5 p.m. on December 4 until 10 a.m. on December 8.

During this timeframe, you will be unable to create, log in to, or complete any transactions in your Online Services account.

If you must file during this timeframe, you may file a paper form. If you must pay a bill, use our Quick Pay application, which does not require you to log in. If you received an income request letter (Form RP-5300-WSC), use our STAR Income Worksheet tool.

Form RP-5100 and related Online Assessment Community requests

With the new year comes new local appointments and hires…and an onslaught of requests for access to the Online Assessment Community.

We’re working as quickly as we can to process these in a timely fashion.

How you can expedite processing times:

  • Please make sure your form is complete and legible. As a reminder, Form RP-5100 request is a fill-in PDF and can be completed electronically and emailed to real.property@tax.ny.gov.
  • Assessors and county directors. A copy of your official appointment notice must be on file with ORPTS before the request for access can be processed. See How to submit a copy of my official appointment notice
  • The request must be signed by the applicant. Local authorization from the assessor or county director is required for all staff.

Please remember all requests are processed in the order they are received, but generally we ask for 5-7 business days. We appreciate your patience during this very busy time. The applicant will receive an email with instructions when the request has been processed.

Contractors and access to RPSV4 Updates in the Online Assessment Community

While we’re on the topic of the Online Assessment Community, please note that we cannot grant contractors access to the RPSV4 Updates section of the Online Assessment Community. This is due to the proprietary information included in that section of our website, in particular the Cost updates. We encourage contractors to work with local staff to apply the necessary updates for RPSV4, except for those under the Cost data section of the webpage. In addition, our regional staff can also provide contractors with the non-proprietary updates.
