Filing due dates

The following personal income tax returns, for tax year 2025, are due by April 15, 2026:

• Form IT-201, New York State Resident Income Tax Return
• Form IT-203, New York State Nonresident and Part-year Resident Income Tax Return
• Form IT-205, New York State Fiduciary Income Tax Return

If you cannot file on time, you can Apply for an extension of time to file an income tax return. You must file your extension request by April 15, 2026.
