When you're setting up automatic payments from your bank account for your IPA, it may take30 to 60 daysfor your automatic payments to begin. During that time, we'll send you monthly bills that you must payonlineor by mail. We'll notify you by mail when the automatic payments will begin.
If you already have automatic withdrawals set up and need to update your bank account information, you must change your informationat least three daysbefore your due date. Otherwise, your change in bank account information will not be effective until the following month.
You can change your current monthly payment day in your Online Servicesaccount, but automatic payments for an IPA can only occur on the 5th or 15th of the month.
To cancel your scheduled monthly payment, you must call us at 518-457-5772 during regular business hours and speak to a representative. Please note, we submit the request for your monthly payment to your bank three days priorto your due date and itcannotbe canceled once submitted.
If your scheduled monthly payment is not available for withdrawal from your account, we'll notify you of the missed payment. You must make a payment online or by mail immediately.
To receive important notices regarding your IPA and other vital correspondence from the Tax Department, you must keep your address up to date. You can update your address in your Online Services account. See Change my address for instructions.
Note: Payments may take up to 10 days to post to your account.
