Intergovernmental teams

Efficient Real Property Tax Administration is best achieved in an environment of cooperation among stakeholders. Intergovernmental teams are a way to gather input and exchange ideas. The following are a list of some of the intergovernmental teams that include members from ORPTS and the Assessment Community

Team Description
Real Property Tax Administration Committee (RPTAC) The mission of the Real Property Tax Administration Committee is to establish and maintain a continuing platform where members can examine issues of mutual concern regarding the Real Property Tax Administration process in New York State.
Real Property System (RPS) Governance Group The purpose of the RPS Governance Group is to govern RPS by providing oversight and direction. RPS is the software system for real property tax administration that is distributed by the New York State Office of Real Property Tax Services (ORPTS or the agency) and used at the local government level.
Training Advisory Group The purpose of the Advisory Group is to provide direction for the development and delivery of training for local government personnel involved with the real property tax.
