To create an Assessment Community account
Complete, sign and return Form RP-5100, Request for Secure Access to the Real Property Information Center. Note: The assessor or county director must sign the form to request access for staff in assessment and county property tax offices.

Once we process Form RP-5100, we will send your username and password by email.
The first time you sign in
- Close all browser windows and open a new one.
- Go to https://my.ny.gov
- Sign in with your account information, and answer "No" if the browser asks to save the password.
- Change your password to one of your choosing and supply "shared secrets". (If you forget your username or password later, you can use your shared secrets with our self-help options: Forgot your username or password? Passwords are case-sensitive and you are required to change your password every 90 days.
- Review and update your account information using Update my Account on the left side of your Account Summary homepage.
