Our Civil Enforcement Division will contact you if you fail to pay a tax bill (assessment) and have exhausted all appeal rights or your rights have expired.

The collection process section of Publication 131, Your Rights and Obligations Under the Tax Law explains consequences of continued failure to file or pay.

If you have an unpaid tax bill, you should pay it in full immediately to avoid accruing additional penalties, interest and possible collection action. If you can't pay in full, you may set up an installment payment agreement.
