File income tax return and make a payment

You may file your income tax return and make a payment at the same time or separately, depending on the payment option. All payment options apply to both e-filers and paper filers.

Payment options
Pay directly from your bank account	Free You may either: Authorize a direct debit on your income tax return, or Make a personal income tax return payment online
Credit card	You'll be directed to a third-party Web site which will charge a convenience fee.
Check or money order	You may mail your payment with your income tax return or separately with a payment voucher.
Filing options
E-file	Easiest and fastest way to file your return. If your income is $57,000 or less, you may qualify for Free File.
