The Department accepts Freedom of Information Law (FOIL) requests through the channels listed below.

• Send tax information requests (other than property tax data) to FOIL Requests.
• Send property tax data requests to ORPTS-FOIL.

Email is not a secure online service. Please submit your request through a different channel if your request includes taxpayer-specific information.

If you have any questions, you can reach us at (518) 457-2070 between 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, weekdays. (Please note that we cannot accept FOIL requests over the phone.)
