State government employment

Employees in New York State agencies are appointed to positions according to New York State Civil Service Law. These jobs are filled through competitive exams that test an individual's ability. Exams are posted regularly and include title, salary, duties, minimum qualifications, subject and date of exam, exam fee and information about how to apply.
